Link allows you to categorize your links and then

respectively. The tool also allows the user to view

browse with much ease. The toolbar is being developed
using VC++ (SDK) and PHP is
used for server side scripting.
The entire website has been developed using PHP,
JavaScript, HTML, the plug-in has
been developed in VC++ (SDK) and COM and MySQL has
been used as the database.

of VirtuMobile needed to have an
web application where they can do bulk messaging
without interacting with a live
person. With help of domain knowledge of expertise
of an organization called 3A Tech,
we developed a complete web portal for bulk SMS.
The application was developed
using ASP and C++. It also includes an engine
which actually sends SMS using HTTP

Website using PHP
They wanted their website to be hosted on Linux
platform and was to be developed
using PHP. Pi Infotech provided developed their
site using PHP with Apache server as
http server, MySQL as database and could be hosted
on Linux.

code and receiving a text in return
with the link to a WAP site where you can view,
read and download the Bitesize. Also
included is a unique code where you can view your
purchase at anytime on the
kwickee website. Information is contributed to a
centralize server by
contributors/writers using web interface.
A team of editors work full time for filtering and
managing the quality of information.
EVERYONE can buy and read a Bitesize and millions
can access and store them on
their WAP(1) or MMS(2) enabled mobile phones. In
fact handsets with WAP capabilities have been on
the market since mid 1999.

This is done for Allianz Bajaj Life Insurance Company.
They have various insuranve schemes and plans for customers. Sales team of Allianz Bajaj needs to demonstrate these schemes and plans to its customers. The demonstration basically involves following things:
1)Presenting to the customer their schemes and let him chose the scheme.
2) Gathering personal information about customer such as name,occupation etc and most importantly Age.
3) Again giving the customer choice of various plans and payment modes.
4) Calculating the premium based on the customer's selection and giving him a comprehensive sumary of the various benefits he gets with the selected scheme and plan.
Since the no of combinations of schemed and plans is fairly large the whole process is quite complex and time consuming. So, there was a need to find a solution that would let sales team members to present the entire information to its potential customers interactively within a short time and in an easy to understand manner.
Allianz Bajaj has put an application on its web site that provides the above mentioned fascilities, but its scope is limited to only those people who visit their web site. It does not serve the purpose of reaching to the masses which is achieved by directly visiting a large no of people. So there was also a need to have the application that could be accessed from a portable device from any location without demanding network / web connectivity.
To satisfy these needs, we decided to give a Pocket PC based solution.
Features of the solution :
1. The application runs on a windows based Pocket PC.
2. It uses Pocket Access database and Mode Zero as a personal http server.
3. The application is programmed in Active Server Pages.
4. The application satisfies all the above objectives. Using premium calculations given by the application, sales people can immediately submit quotation to the customers. |

Profile :
PATNSONS is a leading small-scale industry in Nashik India. PATANSONS is famous for processing auto ancillary, auto parts and various types of Ni-Cr electroplating. PATANSONS is in the business for last 15 years.
Situation :
Over the years, PATANSONS worked as a vendor for many big industries. There is N number of different parts they process. Parts come and go in the shop everyday. It is humongous task to track all these parts with attributes like "Material", "Rework" or "Rejected". PATANSONS's billing operation was not computerized. Also, billing for all this work was not done at right time to the clients.
Pi Infotech successful develop a complete material management system from scratch. Later we developed an integrated solution with purchase order, billing and invoices. We provided a client server based system and we used Access 2000 and Visual Basic for development.
Solution :
With expertise in manufacturing Pi Infotech achieved this in spite of problems in small organizations. Process study was a key to success for this project. |

Today, The Beck Group is an affiliation of companies involved
in the design, real estate and construction industry who
provide a variety of services to owners, users, and investors.
Beck, one of Dallas' largest companies, currently has
a network of offices in Atlanta, Austin, Denver, Los Angeles,
Mexico, Orlando, Phoenix, San Antonio and Tampa with 710+
employees nationwide.
Situation:
Beck uses software called PENTA developed by PENTA technologies.
This is accounting software especially designed and developed
for a construction industry using Oracle. Though it is
a good solution, it has some missing modules. Over the
year's programmers at BECK developed many custom programs
on top of this system to fulfil the need of missing modules.
Pi Infotech successfully worked for supporting a financial
system developed in Oracle 8i. Pi Infotech delivered on-site
and offshore service to Beck.
PL/SQL:
These modules had some bugs in the business logic and
in the business process. BECK Equipment Insurance, IS
Billing, Employee Benefits, and Business Intelligence
Reporting are some of the modules with problems.
We worked on reverse engineering the database design,
flow and program design for HR - Benefits and Equipment
modules. We implemented complete database auditing for
the some of the modules. We worked on re-writing some
business logic and redefining some business process for
correct working.( Equipment Insurance and Employee Benefits)
Business Intelligence
Some of the custom reports were developed using legacy
products like SQLPLUS and IQ Reports on Unix. Beck did
an upgrade of Oracle and Unix. This upgrade created problem
for IQ reports, since IQ version was not supporting Oracle
8i.
We successfully converted 70 reports from character-based
products (IQ and SQLPLUS) to Crystal Reports 8.5 for BECK
Group.
Documentation:
Documentation on business process was not clear and up-to-date.
Documented the complete IT infra structure of the company.
We also documented the design, program flow and business
process.
Solutions:
Pi Infotech successfully worked using offshore and on
-site model. With proved domain knowledge and technical
expertise, by gaining in-depth knowledge over a period
we developed a long-term customer relationship. |
